My Contract With District 12A

1. Implement an action plan to improve the performance of Baltimore and Howard county students.
2. Fight to secure funding for new school construction in our district. Lets build new schools where they are needed and eliminate study trailers.
3. Aid the small business sector in job creation.
4. Help our companies to manufacture goods here in Maryland and not in China.
5. Submit legislation that will raise $350 million annually without raising taxes.
6. Call for a full independent audit of state government.
7. Demand a new state accounting software system and improved accounting controls.
8. Protect police and firefighter compensation. Our police officers and firefighters must have the resources necessary to do the job.
9. Protect retirement pension systems.
10. Stop government funded handouts.

In addition to my top 10 I believe in the following:
* Cut funding to organizations that support illegal immigration.
* Establish consistency for the neighborhood capital improvements in our district. Each community should get its fair share.
* Confront an alarming rise in public housing expansion and abuses. Public housing should only be available to the truly needy, and we need to implement controls to prevent overpayments to landlords.
* Find alternative and affordable sources of energy.
* Encourage and manage reasonable growth that protects the environment.
* Connect Maryland to national and international terrorism databases.
* Fight to impose tougher penalties on drug dealers.
* Institute tougher penalties on sex offenders.
* Stand against a felons right to vote.
* Repeal speed camera laws.
